Our Team Approach

At Tooth Sparkler Family Dental, our team is composed of experienced and skilled clinicians, each bringing a unique set of expertise to ensure you receive the best care possible. Our team includes our principal dentist, oral health therapists, and a dental hygienist, all working together seamlessly to meet your oral health needs.
Our principal dentist leads the team with extensive experience in a wide range of dental treatments, including advanced restorative work, cosmetic dentistry, and complex cases. Dr Sara oversees the overall treatment plans and collaborate closely with other team members to ensure every patient receives comprehensive and personalised care.
Our oral health therapists are highly trained professionals with an extended scope of practice. They are qualified to provide a wide range of treatments, not just for children but also for adults. This includes adult restorative work, such as fillings and preventive care, as well as paediatric dentistry. Their dual qualification allows them to manage both routine and complex cases across different age groups, offering a continuity of care that benefits our patients.
Our dental hygienist specialises in preventive care, focusing on the maintenance of oral health through regular cleanings, periodontal treatments, and patient education. They play a crucial role in helping our patients prevent gum disease and other oral health issues, working closely with the rest of the team to monitor and maintain your oral health.
Together, our team collaborates and refers internally as needed, ensuring that every aspect of your dental care is addressed with expertise and attention to detail. This integrated approach allows us to provide comprehensive, high-quality treatment tailored to your individual needs, ensuring the best possible outcomes for your oral health.
Meet The Team

Principal Dentist and Practice Owner
Dr. Sara Lonergan
Dr Sara Lonergan has a Bachelor of Medical Science from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney. After qualifying, she practised around Sydney’s Northern Beaches, in rural areas and at Sydney Dental Hospital. In 2008, Sara took over the practice from Dr Clements, who had run the practice for 40 years, and it was then that her vision for Tooth Sparkler came to life.
Sara is a firm believer in finding the right answers for her patients and won’t quit until she does just that! Following a holistic approach, she presents the best solutions in all areas of dentistry and works directly with patients to achieve their oral health goals. With five children, Sara is a self-proclaimed ‘kid wrangler’ and is known for her success in treating children and her knack for making each visit a positive experience. Outside of the practice, she spends time with her family and enjoys reading, bushwalking, gardening, and ‘attempting’ to maintain some household order.
