In order to provide you with the highest standard of dental care, this practice is required to collect personal information from you. We value the need to safeguard this information and in accordance with the principles laid down in privacy legislation and the guidelines issued by Australian Dental Association, we would like to assure you that;
- This information will only be used by the treating Dentist or Hygienist to deliver your care to the highest standards
- It will not be disclosed to those not associated with your treatment with your expressed consent
- You may seek access to the information held about you and we provide this access without undue delay
- There will be no charge made for requesting this information but there may be fees levied to cover the cost of processing for example postage
- We will take reasonable steps to ensure we protect this information at all times and that these details are accurate and up to date
- We will take reasonable steps to protect this information from misuse or loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure
- Our staff are trained to respect these principles at all times
Your first visit – comprehensive examination
For your first visit to our practice we will reserve a full 1-hour appointment with either Dr. Sara Lonergan or Dr. Anthony Ho. Your Dentist will do a complete review of your dental and medical history, xrays if necessary and intra oral photographs. We will then undertake a comprehensive examination of your face, mouth and jaws, including the soft tissues inside and outside of your mouth, your smile, teeth, gums and bite.
Once we have gathered all the information about your dental health, we are able to discuss your oral health goals and gain a better understanding of your needs and expectations that will be of most benefit to you and put together a complete treatment plan for your short and long term care.
Spending this time with you at the beginning allows us to form a relationship with you, giving time for you to feel comfortable in our care. We are also able to let you know the cost of your treatment so you can plan well for your dental health care.
We understand time is important and that’s why we customise your appointments to your needs and our clinical requirements, to bring you the best possible experience. We make every effort to keep on time and ask our patients to do the same.
If you are unable to attend, please call the Practice as soon as is practicable or within 48 hours of your appointment as late cancellation fees may apply. We have had great success with our Priority List and with enough notice are able to offer other patients or emergencies the appointment you are no longer able to keep.
Tooth Sparkler requires payment on the day of treatment. Your treatment plan will include cost of procedures and any variation to this will be discussed during your appointment.
We accept Cash, Cheque, Credit or Debit Cards. Tooth Sparkler is conveniently set-up with the HICAPS facility, so your health fund claims are completed on the spot. On the rare occasion the HICAPS system is down, we ask that you settle your account in full and submit the paid receipt directly to your health fund to receive your rebate.
Tooth Sparkler is a preferred provider of BUPA. All other health funds are welcome and processed through HICAPS.
As a convenience to our patients, we offer interest free payment plans through Denticare and instalment facility through AFTERPAY. These options allow you to complete your treatment whilst paying it off over time.
